Spandex, short for polyurethane fiber, is an elastic fiber that can be used in garments that can be stretched to meet comfort requirements. Such as: professional sportswear, fitness wear and exercise clothing, wetsuits, swimming suits, competition swimsuits, basketball suits, bras and suspenders, ski pants, disco, jeans, slacks, socks, leg guards, diapers, leggings, straps, underwear, onesies, spandex underwear, straps for male ballet dancers, surgical protective clothing, logistics troop protective clothing, cycling short sleeves, wrestling vests, rowing suits, underwear, performance clothing, qualitative clothing, etc.
The rate of spandex used in general clothing is smaller. In North America, it is rarely used on men's clothes and more often on women's clothes. Because women's clothes are required to be more close-fitting. When used, a large amount of other fibers such as cotton and polyester are added to blend to reduce the gloss to a minimum.
