Spandex covered yarn is an elastic yarn formed by using spandex yarn as the core and filament or staple fiber yarn to wrap the elongated spandex yarn in a spiral shape.
Classify:
1. According to the number of coating layers, spandex covered yarn can be divided into two types: single coating and double coating. The difference lies in the number of layers and the degree of wrapping of the outer yarn (yarn).
(1) The single covered yarn is wrapped with a layer of outer silk (yarn) on the outer layer of core silk spandex, and the number of loops is less, and the fabric will be exposed obviously.
(2) Double covered yarn is to cover two layers of filament or yarn on the outer layer of spandex core yarn, and these two layers of covering are generally in opposite directions. The core silk spandex is well covered, and the fabric basically does not show the core.
2. According to different equipment, it can be divided into two types: air-covered yarn and mechanically covered yarn.
(1) Air-covered yarn (referred to as empty bag): It is a yarn that draws the outer fiber filament and spandex yarn at the same time, passes through a certain type of nozzle, and forms a regular network point through the regular spray pressure of highly compressed air.
(2) Mechanically covered yarn (referred to as machine package): It is to continuously rotate and wrap the outer fiber filament on the spandex of the core yarn drawn at a constant speed, which is twisted and has a certain twist.
